Wildcats dominate Thunderbirds in 3-0 victory

OGDEN, UT - The Weber State women's volleyball team looked seasoned in their first of two matches against Southern Utah on Friday, February 12th. The Wildcats earned a dominant 3-0 victory over the Thunderbirds to extend their overall record to 5-0.
The Thunderbirds took the lead early in the first set, but the Wildcats were quick to find their way back into the lead with a nine point scoring streak. The Wildcats took control for the rest of the set, and found the victory 25-13.
In the second set, the Wildcats came out with a lot of energy, and dominated the score throughout the set. Halfway through the match, Weber State went on a six point scoring streak to create a dominant lead over Southern Utah. The Wildcats continued to pull away from the Thunderbirds and took the match 25-10.
The Wildcats continued to play with a lot of energy and confidence in set three, finding an early lead. Halfway through the set, Weber State went on another scoring streak, earning seven consecutive points to give themselves a 14-4 lead over Southern Utah. The Wildcats finished the set, and game, 25-14.
Dani Nay led the Wildcats in kills, earning 15 with a 44.8% hitting percentage. Rylin Adams had 8 kills, 5 aces, and 12 digs.
The Wildcats will rematch the Thunderbirds on Saturday, February 13th at 4:00pm in Ogden, Utah.
