Hatch, Allen compete well at Iowa State Classic

AMES, IOWA - The women's indoor track and field team traveled to Ames, Iowa to compete in the Iowa State Classic, hosted by Iowa State on February 12 and 13. The women competed well, and had some standout performances on the coldest weekend of the year.Â
In the women's 400 meter dash, Kate Sorensen finished second with a time of 54.96. Lexie Thompson (competing unattached) earned first place in the women's 5,000 meters. Thompson finished with a time of 15:58. Billie Hatch finished at 16:16 to earn seventh place and the #3 spot on the Weber State All-Time list. Summer Allen finished in eighth place with a time of 16:19, which earned her the #4 spot on the All-Time list.
"It has been a very good meet for us," said women's head coach, Paul Pilkington.
