Wildcats drop road game at NAU

Weber State dropped the first of two road games Thursday night, falling 82-70 to Northern Arizona in the Rolle Activity Center in Flagstaff, Arizona. 
 
Weber State had a strong second quarter and outscored NAU 18-10 in the second quarter and held a 34-32 lead at halftime. 
 
NAU had a two-point lead after three quarters, but the Lumberjacks used a big run in the fourth quarter to pull away. NAU went on a 14-5 run over the first five minutes of the fourth quarter to secure the win. 
 
Weber State shot 46 percent from the field, the second-best shooting percentage of the season. NAU shot 41 percent and the Wildcats committed 25 turnovers. WSU was 17 of 23 from the free throw line.  
 
The Wildcats were led by Daryn Hickok who posted a season-high 22 points on 7 of 12 shooting. She also was 8 of 9 from the free throw line and pulled down four rebounds. 
 
Three other Wildcats scored in double figures. Emma Torbert had 12 points and five rebounds, Kori Pentzer added 11 points and Aloma Solovi had 10 points. 
 
The same two teams will face off again on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Flagstaff.
