'Cats fall 85-68 in road game at NAU

Weber State dropped the second of two road games at Northern Arizona, as the Lumberjacks beat the Wildcats 85-68 Saturday afternoon in Flagstaff.
NAU led by two points after the first quarter and outscored the Wildcats 20-10 in the second quarter to take a 38-26 lead at the break. The lead was never less than 10 points the rest of the way.
Northern Arizona shot 44 percent from the field and knocked down eight 3-pointers. The Wildcats shot 39 percent from the field but the Lumberjacks won the rebounding battle 47-39. NAU had 20 points off WSU's 15 turnovers and the 'Jacks had 23 second-chance points.
Five Wildcats scored in double figures, led by Daryn Hickok who had 18 points. Jadyn Matthews added 13 points and 14 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. Ashley Thoms scored a career-high 12 points off the bench for the Wildcats and dished out a career-high five assists.
Dominique Williams and Kori Pentzer each had 10 points for the Wildcats. NAU was led by Regan Schenck who finished with 31 points.
Weber State will play its final home games of the season next week when the Wildcats host Sacramento State on Thursday and Saturday.
