After no competition last year, the Weber State University Spirit Squad and Dance Team were finally able to return to competition and the Wildcats made history at the 2021 NCA and NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The Wildcat spirit squad won its fourth-straight national title in the Advanced Large Coed division and this time earned the Grand National Championship trophy with the best score of any school in any division at the competition. It was the program's first Grand National title.

Weber State scored a 98.507 overall score, the best score by any school in the competition that featured over 100 schools from across the country.

On Saturday, the Wildcat dance team won the Hip Hop national title.

In addition, the partnership of Elsa Hassett and Kollin Cockrell also claimed a national title, winning the Partner Stunt national title.

Summer Willis is the Spirit Squad Program Director and cheer coach. The dancers are coached by Erica Williams.
