Home opener! Top 10 showdown as Wildcats host JMU Saturday

Blackout Game and matchup of two top 10 teams Saturday night at Stewart Stadium.
• It's the home opener and a top 10 FCS national showdown this Saturday at Weber State. Eighth ranked Weber State hosts second ranked James Madison Saturday at 6 p.m. at Stewart Stadium. It will be the first home game of the season for the Wildcats. The game will also be televised throughout Utah on KJZZ TV and will be streamed online on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. WSU radio coverage will be on 103.1 FM "The Wave" with live stats at WeberStateSports.com.
Two top 10 teams at Stewart Stadium
This week's matchup features two teams in the top 10 in the nation. James Madison is ranked second in the country in the AFCA Coaches poll and is third in the Stats Perform poll. Weber State is eighth in the coaches poll and ninth in the Stats poll. The Wildcats have been in the top 10 in the nation for 36 straight polls, dating back to October 2018.
The second-ranked Dukes are the highest nationally ranked team to play at Weber State, since the Wildcats hosted No. 1 North Dakota State in 2014, Jay Hill's first season with the Wildcats.
Blackout for first home game at Stewart Stadium
Saturday's game is the Blackout Game with Wildcat fans encouraged to wear black. In addition, the first 2,000 fans will receive a free black t-shirt, courtesy of America First Credit Union.
Wildcats dominate Dixie State for first win of the season
After opening the year with a loss at nationally ranked Utah, the Wildcats bounced back with a dominating 41-3 road win at Dixie State late Saturday night in St. George. Weber State totaled 497 yards of offense in the game, including 280 yards rushing.
WSU had five rushing touchdowns and had nine different players with receptions. The WSU defense held Dixie State to 92 yards rushing and 161 yards passing.
