Back on the road for two games for WSU women's basketball

Wildcats play at Sacramento State Thursday and at Northern Colorado on Saturday.
• Weber State women's basketball hits the road for two games this week at Sacramento State and Northern Colorado. The Wildcats and Hornets will play Thursday at 7 p.m. Pacific time (8 p.m. Mountain time) in Sacramento. Saturday's game with the Bears will tipoff at 2 p.m. Both teams will be televised on ESPN+ with live stats available at WeberStateSports.com and the Weber State Wildcats mobile app.
• Weber State enters this week at 8-16 overall and 4-11 in Big Sky play. The Wildcats are coming off two home losses to Eastern Washington and Idaho last week. Weber State has five games remaining in the conference regular season.
• The Wildcats beat Sacramento State 79-76 on January 29 in Ogden behind 29 points from Emma Torbert, including a game-winning 3-pointer in the final seconds. Northern Colorado beat Weber State 65-55 on January 27 in Ogden.
• Weber State is ninth in the country in free throws made with 365, an average of 15.2 per game. The Wildcats are third in the Big Sky and 27th in the nation in free throw percentage at 76.2 percent. The Wildcats are also third in the Big Sky in blocked shots at 3.2 per game and rank third in rebounding margin.
• Daryn Hickok averaged 20.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in Weber State's two games last week. She scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against Eastern Washington on Thursday, and followed that up with 18 points and eight rebounds against Idaho. Hickok ranks third in the Big Sky in scoring at 14.7 points per game. She is also seventh in rebounding at 7.6 per game and ranks seventh in steals and eighth in free throw percentage. Hickok has scored in double figures 17 times and has reached 20 or more six times this season.
• Jadyn Matthews ranks second in the conference in rebounding and ninth in scoring. Emma Torbert is second in the league in blocked shots, fifth in steals, 10th in rebounding and 13th in scoring.
• After this week, the Wildcats will have just three regular season games remaining. Weber State will host Portland State on Wednesday next week, then have the final home game against Northern Arizona on Saturday, February 26.
• The Big Sky Tournament will be held March 7-11 in Boise, Idaho.
