'Cats Open Big Sky Play With 6-1 Loss To Bengals

Pocatello, ID - The Weber State men's tennis team 0-1 in Big Sky Play (2-8 overall) played their first Big Sky match this Friday afternoon against the Idaho State Bengals. After a tough start in doubles play, giving up the 1-0 advantage, the 'Cats battled to earn victories in singles but ultimately fell 6-1 to the Bengals.
The day started with the Bengals taking the doubles point.
In singles play the Wildcats had strong individual performances and were able to take a point on the day. Elyes Marouani earned the win on court 3 when he defeated Andreas Kramer, 7-5, 4-6, 4-6.
Next Up:
The Wildcats will look to bounce back Sunday at 9:30 a.m. against Colorado Mesa University at the Ogden Athletic Club.
