Weber State Women's Tennis Falls 4-3 Against YSU

Las Vegas, NV - The Weber State women's tennis team took a tough 4-3 loss against YSU this Saturday morning at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
"We lost a very close match today," said head coach RuthAnn Allen. "We needed to be more patient and trust in our skills."
Finishing first in doubles, Eliska Masarikova and Elisa Rigazio bested WSU's Yuuna Ukita and Megan Lombardi, 6-3. Not far behind on court 2 finishing second, Sicely Ferreira and Megan Davies defeated Jessica Stanmore and Lili Minich, 6-3. Ana Morett and Patty Kuo battled hard on court 1 against their opponents Cecilia Rosas and Julia Marko but fell, 7-6. Giving the Penguins the advantage heading into singles.
The Lady 'Cats started strong in singles play earning the first three points on courts 1, 2, and 4.
Megan Davies bested the Penguins Eliska Masarikova, 6-1, 6-3 and Patty Kuo secured the win, 6-3, 6-2 against Jessica Stanmore.
Earning the 'Cats their third point of the day, Ana Morett beat Cecilia Rosas, 6-1, 6-3.
Sicely Ferreira and Yuuna Ukita were defeated by their opponents on courts 3 and 4.
On court 5 to clinch the match, Megan Lombardi fell to Elisa Rigazio, 6-3, 6-4.
"This was a good test for our team and we will get stronger from this."
