Women's basketball back home for two games this week

The Wildcats host Eastern Washington on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Idaho on Saturday at 1 p.m.
• Weber State women's basketball returns home for two games this week starting Thursday night against Eastern Washington. Thursday's game with the Eagles will begin at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Wildcats will host Idaho at 1 p.m. Both games will be at the Dee Events Center and both games will be televised on ESPN+ with live stats available at WeberStateSports.com and the Weber State Wildcats mobile app.
• Weber State enters this week at 8-14 overall and 4-9 in Big Sky play. The Wildcats are coming off two close losses at Montana and Montana State last week.
• Weber State is ninth in the country in free throws made with 335, an average of 15.2 per game. The Wildcats are third in the Big Sky and 36th in the nation in free throw percentage at 76.1 percent.
• The Wildcats are also third in the Big Sky in blocked shots at 3.2 per game and rank fourth in rebounding margin and fifth in scoring defense.
• Daryn Hickok led the Wildcats with 16 points and six rebounds at Montana and had 22 points and eight rebounds at Montana State. She was 12 of 18 from the field in the two games and has now scored in double figures in 15 games and has reached 20 or more points five times. Hickok ranks fifth in the Big Sky in scoring at 14.1 points per game, and is seventh in rebounding and free throw percentage and ninth in steals.
• Eastern Washington enters this week with a 4-16 overall record and a 2-9 mark in Big Sky play. The Eagles have lost five straight games heading into Thursday's game.
• Idaho enters this week at 5-14 overall and 4-6 in Big Sky play. The Vandals play at Idaho State Thursday night before playing in Ogden on Saturday.
• At halftime of Saturday's game against Idaho, Weber State will retire the jersey of women's basketball legend Kathy Miller, who played at Weber State from 1976-79 and still has numerous school records, including a career average of 27.5 points per game and a single-game record of 50 points in a game. Saturday's game will be free admission for all fans.
• After this week, the Wildcats will be back on the road at Sacramento State and Northern Colorado next week. The final two home games will be on Wednesday, February 23 against Portland State and Saturday, February 26 against Northern Arizona.
• The Big Sky Tournament will be held March 7-11 in Boise, Idaho.
