Men's Tennis Drops 4-3 Big Sky Match to NAU

The Wildcats end 7-15 overall and 3-5 in conference play
Ogden, UT - The Wildcats fell 4-3 to the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks this Sunday morning at the Ogden Athletic Club.Â
In a heartbreaking one-point loss, the Men's Tennis team drops to 7-15 on the season and 3-5 in the Big Sky Conference.Â
The Wildcats started off the match with the doubles point win as Sebastian Buxman and Bo-Han Li won their court three match 6-4, followed by Arthur Serafim and Jordan Coutinho bringing in the court two win, 7-5.
The Wildcats dropped their No. 2 and No. 4 matches as Elyes Marouani dropped his match on court two to NAU's Facundo Tumosa, 2-6, 0-6. Tristan Sarap fell in a 2-6, 3-6 match on court four.
Bo-Han Li suffered a 4-6, 2-6 loss at the No. 5 position and Arthur Serafim fell in a three-set match 6-4, 2-6, 2-6.
Bringing in singles wins for the Wildcats, Sebastian Buxman secured the 6-4, 6-4 Â win for WSU at the No. 1 position. Jordan Coutinho earned the win at the No. 3 position with a 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory.Â
"We started with a great win in doubles after being two match points down," said head coach Brad Ferreira. "It was a disappointing day for singles with Sebastian and Jordan playing extremely well but struggling on the other courts to get things going."
