2022 football position preview - Quarterbacks

In our continuing series of previews of position groups for the 2022 season, we take a look at the Wildcat quarterbacks.Â
The group returns sophomore Bronson Barron who has played in 13 games over the last two seasons at Weber State. Barron enters 2022 with 2,617 career passing yards and 15 touchdowns. He begins the season ranked 20th in WSU career passing yards. Â
Also returning is junior Kylan Weisser who has been a part of the Wildcat program for the last four seasons. And returning is sophomore Creyton Cooper who played in nine games as a true freshman last season.Â
New quarterbacks in camp this season are junior Brian Harper who transferred from Butte College and freshman Jakob Hollingshaus. Â
The Wildcats also welcome new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mickey Mental to the program. Mental came to Weber State in February after spending the last two seasons as the head coach at Notre Dame College, a Division II school in Ohio. Â
