Wildcats pick up big road win 84-71 at Wyoming

Five players in double figures for Weber State, led by Dyson Koehler with a career-high 19 points.
LARAMIE, Wyo. – Five players scored in double figures as Weber State picked up another big road win with an 84-71 victory over Wyoming Saturday night at the Arena-Auditorium.
The Wildcats shot a season-best 56 percent from the field and scored the most points against a Division I team this season.
The 'Cats were also a perfect 15 of 15 from the free throw line.
Wyoming led by six in the first half but Weber State closed out the first half on a 15-2 run and led 44-33 at halftime.
The 'Cats led by as many as 15 early in the second half before Wyoming rallied to cut the lead to five midway through the second half. But Weber State responded with a 14-5 run over the next six minutes to take control. Weber State shot 68 percent from the field in the second half.
The Wildcats dished out 16 assists and outrebounded the Cowboys 29-25.
Dyson Koehler had a career-high 19 points to lead all Wildcat scorers. He was 7 of 10 from the field and made two 3-pointers.
Dillon Jones had his seventh double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and also dished out seven assists.
Steven Verplancken added 16 point with 10 coming in the second half. He also made two 3-pointers and was 4 of 4 from the free throw line.
Alex Tew had a season-high 14 points on 6 of 8 shooting and Blaise Threatt added 13 points with four assists.
The Wildcats are now 6-4 on the season. Weber State will return to the Dee Events Center for a day game on Thursday, December 21 against Park Gilbert.
Tipoff is at 2 p.m. on Thursday and all kids 17 and under will get in free to the game. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance.
