Personal Bests and All-Time Marks at the Husky Classic

SEATTLE, WA – A group of athletes travelled up to the University of Washington to compete in the annual Husky Classic, Billie Hatch, Bailey Winter, Bailey Wall, Laurie Murphy, Rylie Lusk, and Saga Hagelin. This was a great opportunity to chase personal bests and to move into the school records against a highly competitive field of athletes heading into the Conference Championships in a couple of weeks.
Billie Hatch moved set an indoor PR for the mile with 4:45.06 which moves her to #3 on the WSU all-time list. This time ranks sixth in the Big Sky this season. Billie also ran the 5000 and improved on her PR from earlier this season with a time of 15:45.95, which improves her spot at #1 on the WSU all-time. Billie holds three top-3 times on the all-time list for Weber State. Her time in the 5k ranks second in the Big Sky.
Bailey Winter earned PRs in both the mile and the 3000 meters. Her mile time was 4:54.60 which ranks fifteenth in the Big Sky, and in the 3000 she ran 9:52.92.
Laurie Murphy broke 5 minutes in the mile with her time of 4:59.72 for a PR.
Rylie Lusk earned a PR in the 3000 and moved to #6 all-time at WSU with her time of 9:30.37. Her time puts her ninth in the Big Sky this season.
Saga Hagelin also earned a PR in the 3000 and her time would rank #10 on the all-time list if Lusk hadn't run the time she did, her time was 9:39.02 which is less than a second off the all-time list. Her time ranks fifteenth in the Big Sky.
The last PR of the weekend came from Bailey Wall in the mile with a time of 4:54.60. Her time in the 3000 was 9:54.14 which she earned a PR in earlier this season.
The Wildcats will have the week off in preparation for the Big Sky Conference Championship scheduled to take place on February 23-25 in Moscow, Idaho at Idaho State University.
