Women’s Track and Field kicked off outdoor season at UVU

The Weber State women's track and field team competed at the UVU Invitational in Orem, Utah Thursday.
Two Wildcats found the top of the podium in their respective events. Elin Hagelin ran 11:13.34 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and Abby Triplett hit a mark of 5'-7.25" in the high jump.
Eden Devries (14.04), Lucy Harris (14.328) and Abby Egbert (15.07) all set their PR's in the 110 meter hurdles.
Aubree Hardy set her PR in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.84.
Gurleen Mander (175'-7"), Teisa Halaufia (159'-8.50"), Haley Hollins (151'-9.75") and Ilaisaane Toa (126'-4.50") all set their PR's in the hammer throw.
"We had a good season opener," head coach Lindsey Anderson said. "Several personal bests and best opening meets for a lot of our team. I'm proud of their attitude and determination in their first meet. We're excited to be in the outdoor track season."
The Wildcats will now travel to Stanford, California and compete in the Stanford Invitational April 3-4.
