Las Vegas, NV – The Weber State women's tennis team breezed by Youngstown State University 6-1 in a matchup on Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The win puts the 'Cats 1-1 on the weekend (2-3 overall).
Weber State took a 1-0 lead by taking all three completed doubles matches.
In singles play, the 'Cats held strong picking up five straight-set victories.
Megan Lombardi finished first in singles against Eliska Masarikova, winning 6-1, 6-1. Ana Morett won her match against Lili Minich, 6-2, 6-0. Clinching the match for the 'Cats, Megan Davies beat Cecilia Rosas with set scores of 6-1, 6-0.
Cindy Ping An followed closely behind her with her victory against Maria Oliveira, 6-2, 6-1. Dylan Lolofie took her match against Line Greyling, 6-1, 6-4. After a long and tough match, Kenadee Semenik fell to her opponent 7-6, 7-5 putting a 6-1 close on the day for the Wildcats.
