Williams was a consensus All-American with the Wildcats in 2022 after returning four 100-yard kickoff returns for touchdowns, the most of any player in all of college football.

OGDEN - Another Wildcat has been named to the 60 in 60 list by the KSL Sports Zone Network as Weber State All-American kick returner and cornerback Abraham Williams has been recognized by the network.

Throughout the summer, Hans Olsen and Scott Garrard on the KSL Sports Zone Network are counting down the top 60 college football players in the state of Utah as voted by the media and a fan ballot. Williams is No. 49 on the list.

Williams is back as a junior for the Wildcats and made history in 2022 with an FCS record four 100-yard kickoff returns for touchdowns. He earned All-America honors from six different outlets as well as first-team All-Big Sky honors as a kick returner.

He led the nation in kickoff returns with 24 returns for 898 yards, an average of 37.4 yards per return. The four kickoff returns are the most in a season in school and Big Sky history and Williams was the only player in all divisions of NCAA football (FBS, FCS, Division II or Division III) to have more than two kickoff return touchdowns during the season. He had 100-yard returns against Eastern Washington, Montana State, Sacramento State, and Northern Arizona and twice earned Big Sky Player of the Week honors.

On defense, he had two interceptions, both coming in the win over Utah Tech, and returned those 65 yards.

He has played in 16 games in two seasons with the Wildcats, heading into the 2023 season. He has two forced fumbles, nine total tackles, and two pass breakups.

Williams is one of four returning All-Americans for the Wildcats this season, joining Maxwell Anderson, Noah Atagi, and Winston Reid.

Reid was ranked No. 57 on the KSL Sports 60 in 60 list.

The Wildcats begin the 2023 season on August 31 at home against Central Washington. Season tickets are on sale now!
