Weber State moves to 10th at Falcon Invitational on Day Two

USAFA, Colo. – The Weber State men's golf team shot a 1-over par 289 in the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Monday at the Eisenhower Golf Club to move three spots up into 10th place through 36 holes.
Hayden Banz led the Wildcats on the day, shooting a 3-under par 69 to jump 36 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 22nd place. Banz recorded three birdies on the round and added a double eagle on the 568-yard, par 5 11th hole. Banz hit a 7-wood from 257 yards on the hole and one-hopped it into the cup.
Brendan Thomas backed up his opening round 69 with a 2-under par 70 in the second round to hold his spot in fourth place on the individual leaderboard. Thomas carded four birdies on the day against a pair of bogeys as he continues to lead the team in the tournament.
Ty Anderson, Isaac Buerger and Oliver Gothe each shot a 3-over par 75 on the day. Anderson's 75 was his second-straight in the tournament and has him in a tie for 61st place through two rounds. Buerger's 75 moved him into a tie for 93rd with one round remaining, while Gothe moved up into a tie for 106th.
New Mexico State moved into the team lead at 8-under par through 36 holes with an 8-under 280 on the day. Colorado State is three shots back in second after a 279 on Monday.
