Wildcats Earn 3-0 Sweep Over Eagles

Ogden, UT – The Weber State volleyball team earned another 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-14) sweep this week after a match Saturday night against Eastern Washington.
Set 1
Dominating the first set 25-12, the 'Cats took off with a 7 point-run to start the match never looking back and forcing the Eagles to a timeout. The 'Cats stayed competitive throughout the remainder of the set earning the 1-0 advantage.
Set 2
Off to a slower start, the second set progressed and the 'Cats pushed to stay ahead of the Eagles. Eastern Washington chipped away at the lead, but the 'Cats were there to stop momentum every time and the Eagles could not pull ahead. After four consecutive points, Weber State went on to win the second set 25-18.
Set 3
Weber State took control of the third set quickly, jumping out to a 17-9 lead. The 'Cats wasted no time, finishing the set 25-14.
Dani Richins dished out nine kills and two aces. Liana Woodley tallied eight digs and six blocks. Weber State had 39 kills compared to Eastern Washington's 21, the Wildcats hitting .241 and the Eagles -.034.
