‘Cats Defeated By Utah State To Close Out Opening Weekend

Logan, UT — The Weber State men's tennis team was defeated by the Utah State Aggies 6-1 as the Wildcats opening weekend came to a close.
"We had some close matches but were not able to pull it out." head coach Brad Ferreira said.
The Wildcats lone point in the afternoon came courtesy of a Jordan Coutinho singles win. After losing the first set, Coutinho came back and won the final two frames by the score of 6-3.
The doubles combination of Matteo Savio and Tuan Minh made quick work of their competition winning their doubles match 6-3.
There were hard fought matches all over the stat sheet with Tuan Minh and Tristan Sarap both taking their games into the third set before ultimately coming up short.
Next up for the Wildcats is a road trip to Las Vegas, Nevada where they will play three games in two days against UC Riverside, UNLV, and New Mexico State University.
