Wildcat Cross Country records third place finish at Big Sky Championships

Wildcat cross country recorded a third place team finish at the Big Sky Championships on November 1 in Pocatello, Idaho. The 'Cats tallied a total of 78 points.

The 'Cats finished behind Northern Arizona and Montana State, the 'Jacks recorded 15 points and the Bobcats had 54 points.

"They raced very well, we had a 30 second spread from our first to fifth runner," head coach Paul Pilkington said.

Laurie Murphy led the Wildcats with a 12th place finish at 17:25.6, Saga Hagelin was close behind in 15th at 17:47.5, Danielle Brow finished 17th with a time of 17:51.4 and Courtney Earl finished 18th at 17:52.0.

"Courtney and Hannah, both freshmen, did a great job and finished in our top five," Pilkington said.

Hannah Bailey finished 21st at 17:55.6, Jessica Hill finished 34th at 18:17.1, Trisha Thompson Davis finished 35th at 18:17.6 and Frances Hudson finished 40th at 18:23.6.

The Wildcats will compete at the NCAA Mountain Regionals on November 15 in Reno, NV.
