Weber State drops road game to Boise State

BOISE, Idaho - The Weber State women's basketball team fell 46-96 to the Boise State Broncos this Sunday afternoon.

First Half | The Wildcats and Broncos went head to head to start the first quarter. With the score tied at 8-8 Boise State began to pull away using a ten-point run to do so. The quarter ended 18-9 in favor of the blue and orange.

Boise State continued their scoring ways into the second quarter going up by 11 over the Wildcats. Two good three-pointers by Rita Satini and Taylor Smith allowed the 'Cats to trail by five. The Broncos were able to pull together a few runs to end the half 42-20.

Second Half | Weber State worked on chipping away at the deficit in the third quarter stringing together a six-point run. Boise State responded with a 12-0 run of their own and closed out the quarter. A tough Boise State offense in the fourth quarter sealed the game 96-46.

Wildcat Stats

Wildcat Taylor Smith recorded 13 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks to lead the team.
Weber State shot 30.2 percent from the field and 18.8 from the arc. The Wildcats went 11-16 in free throws for a 68.8 percentage.

Weber State will play North Dakota, Seattle and Arizona on the road before returning to the Dee Events Center on December 20 for a game against Utah Valley.
