GAME WEEK: Weber State set to face Pacific in first round of the NIVC

This will be the Wildcats fourth appearance in the NIVC.
NIVC
For the sixth straight time, Weber State volleyball advances to postseason play and has accepted a bid to play in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC). The Weber State Wildcats will be playing the Pacific Tigers in Tucson, Arizona on Friday, December 6 at 12:00 PM (MT). The winner of Friday's match will advance to play Arizona on Saturday, December 7.
This will be the fourth appearance in the NIVC for the Wildcats (2022, 2021, 2019). In 2019 and 2021 Weber State advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The NIVC involves 32 of the nation's top women's Division I Volleyball teams. Every round is single elimination and all games are hosted by participating schools.

Wildcat Leaders
Ashley Gneiting leads the Wildcats this season in kills with 352. She recorded a season high 21 kills in the Wildcats match against Eastern Washington on November 27. Gneiting has played in 115 sets and collected 409.5 points this season.
Kate Payne is on top in assists for the Wildcats with 991 this season and the second most in Wildcat history with 3,412. Payne is also ranked third in Weber State history for digs with 1,563.
Freshman Marly Pratt leads the squad in digs with 405 this season.
Saane Munyer has totaled 126 blocks this season to lead the Wildcats. Last season, Munyer collected 72 blocks and 105 kills for an average attack percentage of .346.
Senior Stars
Three seniors returned for the Wildcats. Setter Kate Payne, opposite Baylee Bodily, and middle blocker Liana Woodley. Last season, Payne played in 117 sets, totaled 1,166 assists, 403 digs, and 169 total attacks. Bodily played in 105 sets last season and totaled 276 kills. She had an attack percentage of .186 and collected 54 blocks. Woodley totaled 144 kills and 84 blocks playing in 94 sets for the Wildcats. She finished the season with a .294 attack percentage.
Fresh Faces
Weber State welcomed four new players to the roster. Freshmen Morgan Pratt a setter and Marly Pratt a libero from Mapleton, UT. Victoria Marthaler an opposite from Albuquerque, New Mexico and Maggie Kamp, a libero from North Bend, Washington.
