Wildcats finish strong over split weekend.

Wildcat track and field wrapped up the weekend at both the Mountain State Games and the Husky Classic on Feb 9 & 10.Â
MOUNTAIN STATE GAMES:Â
Abby Hancock led the squad in the 200 meter dash with a first place finish at 24.71 seconds, this performance placed them eighth on the Weber State All-Time list and Makayla Oliver finished fifth at 24.93.Â
Kapua Pulotu hit a PR and finished first in the shot put with a mark of 48-00.75 and Dawson Rothenbuhler finished second with a mark of 46-06.00.
Elizabeth Littlewood led the 'Cats in the pentathlon with a total of 3,659 points and a first place finish, Sarena Mackley finished second with 3,618 points and Kate Tueller finished fifth with 3,380 points.Â
Payge Walz kicked off the weekend for the 'Cats with a sixth place finish in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.78 seconds.Â
Frances Hudson recorded an 11th place finish with a time of 10:33.22 in the 3000 meter run.Â
Walz also recorded a fourth place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.69.Â
Both Aimee Chambers and Abby Triplett recorded a second place finish with a mark of 5-03.25 in the high jump. Oliver finished second with a mark of 18-04.25 in the long jump.Â
HUSKY CLASSIC:
Saga Hagelin recorded a 9:37.18 finish in the 3000 meter, moving her into tenth place on the Weber State All-Time list and Laurie Murphy recorded a 72nd place finish with a time of 9:43.16.
Hannah Baily finished the one mile with a time of 5:00:02 and Sandra Aberg finished the 800 meter run with a time of 2:15.53.Â
