Wildcats fall to Bobcats in Big Sky Quarterfinals

BOISE, Idaho - Montana State had a huge second half and knocked off Weber State 91-82 in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament Monday night at the Idaho Central Arena in Boise. 

The loss ends Weber State's season at 20-12 overall. 

Weber State led 34-25 at halftime and led by as many as 13 points early in the second half before the Bobcats took over. 

Montana State shot 75 percent from the field in the second half, including 10 of 15 from 3-point range. The Bobcats scored 66 points in the half. 

MSU had two 13-0 runs in the second half and made 14 straight field goals late in the game. 

For the second straight game, the Bobcats made 13 3-pointers against Weber State as MSU finished 13 of 27 from 3-point range. WSU was 10 of 26 and shot 49 percent from the field for the game. 

Blaise Threatt led the Wildcats with 20 points and tied his career-high with 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the year. He also dished out four assists. 

Dillon Jones saw his historic season and Wildcat career come to an end. He finished with 19 points and had five assists, two rebounds, and two steals. 

Dyson Koehler added 14 points with two steals and Steven Verplancken had 10 points in his final game as a Wildcat.
