Wildcats take down Bobcats in first round of Big Sky Tournament

Phoenix, AZ - Down go the bobcats. Weber state won their first match in the Big Sky Tournament and advanced to the semi-final match to be played April 26 against the Idaho State Bengals.
Starting with doubles, it was a close clean sweep in winning scores for Weber. Morett and Davies worked as a strong duo to seal a win with a score of 3-6. Following them, Kenadee Semenik and Jessica Hill won against Montana doubles opponent 6-7.
Moving to singles, every player from Weber State dominated their matches and pulled out wins. On court one, Megan Davies played strong and ended with a score 3-6,3-6. Following Davies in court two, Ana Morett played big with a final score of 5-7, 5-7. Sydney Schnell won her singles match as well against her Montana State opponent 6-4,2-6. Li Yang Ping An in court six stole a win to finish out the singles matches 3-6,2-6.
The 'Cats played hard today and are ready to come back for the semi-finals with a hope to win again.
