Wildcats fall to Lumberjacks at Big Sky Tournament

Phoenix, AZ - Weber State men's tennis fell 4-1 this Friday morning against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in the semi-final match of the Big Sky Tournament.

The last time that the Wildcats were in the Big Sky Tournament semi-final match was in 2018.

Weber State won the first doubles match of the contest as the Wildcat duo of Jordan Coutinho and Connor Kruger posted a 6-2 victory over Maciej Ziomber and Daniel Torres. Northern Arizona captured wins at Nos. 1 and 3 to claim the first point.

The Wildcat's Connor Kruger put WSU on the scoreboard with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Maikel De Boes. To take back the lead, NAU's Dominik Buzonics notched a 6-2, 6-1 victory on court one. The Lumberjacks were up 2-1.Â

NAU took Nos. 5 and 6 singles behind the efforts of William Zulch and Minh Tuan Dinh Viet. Courts two and four went unfinished as the Lumberjacks secured the win 4-1.Â
