'Cats record a 1-1 draw against the SDSU Aztecs

The 'Cats kicked off their first road game of the season with a 1-1 draw against the San Diego Aztecs on August 18. The Wildcats improved to 0-0-2 on the season.Â
Ali Swensen scored the equalizer off of an assist from Sayler Schlosser in the 67th minute.Â
Maya Cordova was the keeper for the 'Cats in the first half of the match and recorded one save off of the Aztecs. Hadley Harris took over in the second half and quickly faced four shots in the first six minutes of the half.Â
Weber State walked away with 10 shots through 90 minute. Four came from Swensen, two each came from Sammie Sofonia and Grace Kirby-Hortin, and one each from Josie DeLine and Ella Sanders.Â
Two of Swensens shots were on target and both Sanders and Kirby-Hortin had one shot on target.Â
The 'Cats were previously 0-3 against the Aztecs before Sunday's 1-1 draw.Â
Following their trip to San Diego, the 'Cats will stay in California and take on another Mountain West Conference member in Fresno State on August 22 at 8 pm MT(7 pm PT).Â
The match will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.
