EDEN, Utah – Heavy overnight thunderstorms washed out the final round of the Kelsey Chugg Invitational on Tuesday at Wolf Creek Resort Golf Course, with the Wildcats finishing in second place as the 36-hole results became final.
Weber State shot rounds of 308 and 290 on Monday for a two-round total of 598. Cal Baptist led the way on the opening day of play, and becomes the tournament champions with a score of 595.
Cala Korman led Weber State, finishing in a tie for second overall with a 1-over par total of 145 after rounds of 75 and 70 on Monday. Korman finished one shot back of Cal Baptist's Samantha Dizon, who took individual medalist honors.
Emily Song shot rounds of 76 and 74 and tied for fifth place at 150, while Isabel Gutierrez finished ninth with rounds of 78 and 73 for a total of 151 to give the 'Cats three players in the top-10.
Sofia Fuenmayor finished in 17th at 154, while Jade Gruher was 22nd with a total of 156.
Playing as individuals, Emma Lillywhite tied for 22nd at 156, Braylyn Bayer finished 29th at 157 and Brynn Bischoff came in 54th with a total of 165.
