Women's Cross Country records first place finish at Idaho State Invitational

Weber State Cross Country recorded a first place team finish with a total of 21 points at the Idaho State Invitational on September 20 on a 5K course.
"Our top two girls are good and we only had a 27 second gap from first to fifth," head coach Paul Pilkington said. "We have improved from the 55 second gap that we had at Utah Valley. It was a good performance as a group."
Six Wildcats finished in the top ten places.
Laurie Murphy led all athletes with a first place finish with a time of 17:53.5, Saga Hagelin recorded a second place finish at 17:54.0, Hailey Low finished fifth at 18:17.4, Jessica Hill finished sixth at 18:20.9, Trisha Thompson Davis finished seventh with a time of 18:23.0 and Danielle Brow rounded out the top ten at ninth with a time of 18:28.9.
Frances Hudson finished 11th at 18:36.3, Hannah Bailey finished 14th with a time of 18:51.5 and Loryn Brimhall finished 23 at 20:19.3.
Four Wildcats ran unattached;Courtney Earl finished 12th at 18:42.1, Lydia Felix finished 13th at 18:47.0, Alyssa Kleinman finished 17th at 18:59.8 and Brooklyn Dayley finished 19th at 19:48.0.
The 'Cats will be back in action at the Gans Creek Invitational in Columbia, MO on September 27.
