Wildcats Jump to Seventh in Round Two at Falcon Invitational

USAFA, Colo. – Weber State made a second round move at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Sunday at the Eisenhower Golf Club, jumping three spots on the leaderboard into a tie for seventh place in the 22-team field.
The Wildcats shot a 2-under par total of 286 for the sixth-best round of the day and moved to 9-over par 585 through two rounds in the 54-hole event.
Cormack Goecke led three Wildcats in red figures, shooting a 2-under par 70 to jump 17 spots on the individual leaderboard into a tie for 30th overall at 2-over 146 through two rounds. Goecke carded six birdies on the day, including five on the back side of the Eisenhower Blue Course.
Matthew Wilson shot a 1-under par 71 on the day behind a pair of birdies and an eagle and moved into a tie for 23rd place with a two-round total of 145, which leads the team.
Bobby Kincaid added the third under-par round for the Wildcats with a 1-under 71 as he posted four birdies on the day. His round moved him into a tie for 37th place at 147.
Luke Smith shot a 76 on the day to drop into 46th place at 5-over par 149, while Ty Anderson shot 74 and is tied for 58th place at 150.
Colorado State shot a 7-under par 281 to hold first place on the team leaderboard at 9-under par through two rounds. San Jose State shot a 10-under par 278 on the day to move within two shots of the Rams in second at 7-under par through two rounds.
Colorado State's Matthew Wilkinson maintained his lead on the individual leaderboard with a 2-under par 70 on the day and is at 9-under par. He leads SIU Edwardsville's Brady Kaufmann by four shots heading into Monday's final round.
