Wildcats Open Tommie Invitational in Seventh Place

STILLWATER, Minn. – Weber State opened play in the Tommie Invitational on Monday at Stoneridge Golf Club and are in seventh place after two rounds of play in the tournament hosted by the Unviersity of St. Thomas-Minnesota.
The Wildcats started slowly, shooting a 25-over par 313 in the morning round, but bounced back with a 16-shot improvement in the afternoon for a 297 to close the day with a 36-hole total of 610.
North Dakota State leads the tournament after shooting a total of 4-over par 580 on the day and hold a nine-shot advantage over second-place Northern Iowa. Connor VanWeelden of Northern Iowa leads the individual leaderboard at 4-under par 140.
Bobby Kincaid leads the Wildcats through 36 holes after posting rounds of 77 and 73 for a 6-over par total of 150. He is tied for 27th place heading into Tuesday's final round.
Matthew Wilson shot 73-79 for a total of 152 on the day and is tied for 34th place, while Ty Anderson is tied for 37th at 153 after rounds of 80 and 73.
Cormack Goecke shot 83 ahead of a second-round even-par 72 and is tied for 44th place at 155, and Luke Smith shot 83-79 and is in 62nd place at 162.
