Wilson Earns Big Sky Conference Weekly Honor

FARMINGTON, Utah – Weber State's Matthew Wilson was named the Big Sky Conference Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, earning a weekly honor for the sophomore's second-straight tournament after his performance at the Bill Cullum Invitational in Somis, Calif.
Wilson opened the Cullum Invite with a 2-under par 70 and added rounds of 75 and 77 for a 6-over par total of 222 and a tie for eighth place overall at Saticoy Country Club. Wilson posted 12 birdies over the event, including five in the final round. The tournament was the 2026 spring opener for the Wildcats.
Wilson also won the Big Sky weekly honor following the Wildcats' 2025 fall finale after he took medalist honors at the Derek Dolenc Invitational in September. He twice won Summit League as a freshman in 2024-25 while the Wildcats were an affiliate member of the conference, giving him a total of four awards for his career.
