FARMINGTON, Utah – For the third time in-as-many outings, Weber State's Matthew Wilson has been named the Big Sky Golfer of the Week, this time following his performance at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational in Sugar Land, Texas.

Wilson led the Wildcats to a tie for fourth place in the tournament as he tied for seventh place overall. After carding an opening round 4-over par 75, he came back with rounds of 66 and 70 to finish in red figures at 2-under par 211. He carded 13 birdies and an eagle over the tournament, including six birdies in his second round 66 and four birdies and the eagle in his final round 70.

Wilson earned his first Big Sky Golfer of the Week honor on Oct. 1, 2025 as the Wildcats wrapped up the fall schedule at the Dolenc Invitational, where he was the individual medalist. He then won the award for the second-straight outing  on Feb. 4, 2026 as he led the Wildcats in the spring schedule-opening Bill Cullum Invitational, where he tied for eighth overall.

Wilson twice earned the Summit League Golfer of the Week as a freshman in 2024-25, while the Wildcats were an affiliate member of the conference, giving him five total weekly awards for his career.
