‘Cats drop opener to Cougars

Ogden, Utah — The Weber State women's tennis team opened their season with a 7-0 defeat at the hands of the Brigham Young University Cougars.
The Wildcats dropped the doubles point with the duo of Alicia Morales and Sydney Schnell losing 6-0 and the Cindy Li, Savannah Johnson combination falling 6-4.
In singles play, Jessica Hill and Savannah Johnson were able to force their matches to the third set before ultimately coming up short.
The Wildcats will hit the road for the first time this year as they travel to Boise, Idaho on Saturday. They will look for their first win of the season as they take on the Boise State Broncos beginning at 11:00a.m.
