Broncos top ‘Cats in Boise

Boise, Idaho — The Weber State women's tennis team was defeated on the road 7-0 by the Boise State Broncos on Saturday in Boise, Idaho.
Weber State was unable to secure the doubles point in the match. The Wildcats' best result in doubles play came courtesy of the #2 duo of Sydney Schnell and Alicia Morales. They were able to push their match before ultimately coming up short by a score of 6-4.
In singles play, Sydney Schnell and Savannah Johnson played gritty matches against their opponents forcing tiebreakers. Sydney Schnell pushed the first set to a tiebreak before falling short 7-6 (7-5) and Savannah Johnson did the same in the third set of her match. Johnson ultimately lost that set, and her match, by a score of 10-7.
The women will now get 13 days off before hitting the road again. This time it is for Vegas as they will take part in the annual UNLV Tournament. In Vegas, they will play three matches in three days with the first coming against host team UNLV on January 31st at 11:00 a.m.
