Wildcats drop match to Aggies

Logan, Utah — The Weber State Men's Tennis team was defeated on Sunday by Utah State by a final score of 7-0.
"We struggled today," head coach Brad Ferreira said, "Utah State is a good team but we really gave it away today."
The Wildcats were swept in all three doubles matches. Ken Minh and Connor Kruger lost 6-2, William Zulch and Tristan Sarap fell 6-1 and Jordan Coutinho and Liam Day dropped their match 6-1.
Ken Minh and Liam Day pushed their singles matches into the third set of their matches on Court 4 and Court 5 respectively. Ultimately, Minh lost 6-4 in the final frame while Day came up short 11-9 in the third. This would be the closest the Wildcats would get to securing a team point as the four other singles matches ended in two set losses.
The 'Cats will get a week-long break before heading to Las Vegas on Friday to compete in the UNLV Quad Tournament. The tournament will begin with a Friday morning match against host team UNLV. The match will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 24th.
