Wildcats defeat Eagles 67-65 in thrilling showdown at the Dee Events Center

OGDEN - Weber State women's basketball defeated the Eastern Washington Eagles 67-65 in a thrilling 40 minutes of gameplay at the Dee Events Center.
First Half | Neck and neck throughout the first quarter, Weber State and Eastern Washington finished the first ten minutes of gameplay separated by one point at 13-12 with the Wildcats on top.
The Eagles took the lead in the second quarter however, Weber State trailed close behind. Regaining the advantage, a Kendra Parra 3-pointer and shortly after, a Rose Bubakar 3-pointer put the 'Cats back on top. A strong offense and defense put on by the Wildcats then ended the half 33-24.
Second Half | Eastern Washington fought at the deficit, going on a 12-0 run to put the Eagles up by three. To tie the score 46-46, Lanae Billy hit a 3-pointer, and two good free-throws by Antoniette Emma-Nnopu gave Weber State a lead into the final frame.
A battle until the very end, the score was tied seven times in the fourth quarter. Emma-Nnopu tied the score at 63-63 and four good free throws boosted the Wildcats to a lead that the Eagles could not recover from with just seconds left to go. Weber State went on to win their ninth Big Sky game with a 67-65 victory over the Eagles.
