GAME NOTES: Wildcats final home game and senior day is Saturday against the Vandals

Weber State women's basketball will matchup against the Idaho Vandals on Saturday and senior day at the Dee Events Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. Following the game on Saturday, the Wildcats will play their final game of the regular season against Northern Colorado. Weber State is coming off of a 67-65 home court win over the Eastern Washington Eagles.
Weber State is under the direction of second year head coach Jenteal Jackson who was named the seventh head coach in WSU history. A Utah native and former in-state college player, she came to Weber State after spending the two seasons as head coach at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Prior to becoming head coach, she spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at Westminster. She played college basketball at BYU and Westminster.
The Wildcat lead the Big Sky Conference in free throw percentage and nationally ranked at No. 15. Four Wildcats are nationally ranked in the top 100:
This will be the 56th all-time meeting between the Wildcats and Vandals with the series beginning in 1980. Idaho leads the series 34-22 and leads in Ogden 14-11. The Vandals defeated the Wildcats 77-62 this past January in Moscow.
The Vandals are led by Head Coach Arthur Moreira who took over the program after serving the 2023-24 season as associate head coach. Olivia Nelson is averaging 14.6 points per game and Hope Hassmann is averaging 1.4 3-pointers per game while also leading in assists.
This will be the 43rd all-time meeting between the Wildcats and Bears with the series beginning in 1975. Northern Colorado leads the series 28-15 and in Greeley 16-5. Weber State defeated the Bears in January 65-52 in Ogden.
The Bears are led by Kristen Mattio who was announced head coach in 2021. The Bears are led by London Gamble, who averages 10 points per game. Ella Van Weelden leads the team in 3-pointers averaging 1.6 per game and Tatum West leads in rebounds with 6.7 per game.
