Wildcats fall in Flagstaff

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz - The Wildcats rallied from a seven point deficit in the final quarter of gameplay but ultimately fell 76-81 to the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Monday evening.
First Half | Northern Arizona started the game with quick defensive efforts, putting high pressure on the Wildcats. Despite that full pressure, Weber State started to heat up, creating some separation at 13-4 following an 8-0 run. Working at the deficit, the Lumberjacks were unable to take the lead in the first quarter as the Wildcats led 17-15. Northern Arizona took the lead at 20-17 early in the second quarter but the Wildcats continued to keep it close as they trailed by 11 points to end the half.
Second Half | The Wildcats battled making it a six point game early in the third quarter. Continuing to work, the Weber State offensive pushed to head into the final frame of game play 56-63. The Lumberjacks held onto the lead, extending it by nine. Only able to cut the advantage to five points, the game ended 81-76 in favor of Northern Arizona.
