Men’s Tennis defeated in Flagstaff

Flagstaff, Ariz — The Weber State Men's Tennis team fell on the road at Northern Arizona 7-0. The Wildcats drop to 7-6 on the season.
"There is a reason they are undefeated at home," head coach Brad Ferreira said, "They are a very good team at this altitude."
The 'Cats were swept in doubles play falling by a score of 6-2 in both positions #1 and #2. Theo Mottier and Liam Day went unfinished in their match on Court #3. The score was knotted at 4-4 when the match was stopped.
The Wildcats were swept in singles play to give the Lumberjacks their fifth consecutive home victory of the season. Connor Kruger took his matchup to the limit falling in three sets by a score of 5-7, 7-6 (7-1), 11-9 on Court #2. The rest of the Wildcats were defeated in straight sets. Additionally, Liam Day retired his match on Court #4 down 3-0 in the second set.
The Wildcats will head due south to Phoenix and take on the Grand Canyon University Antelopes on Sunday. The Lopes come into the season sitting at 9-4 on the season with a 9-3 mark at home. Their lone road match resulted in a 6-1 defeat at Santa Clara in early February. This is the Wildcats first conference loss of the season as their Big Sky record falls to 3-1. The 'Cats will look to split the Arizona road trip before returning to Utah to take on the University of Utah on Wednesday.
