Owls snap ‘Cats winning streak

La Jolla, Calif — The Temple Owls defeated the Weber State Men's Tennis team 7-0 in La Jolla, California. This loss snapped the Wildcats four-match winning streak.
"Not a great match for us," head coach Brad Ferreira said, "We played like we were on vacation."
The 'Cats and Owls split the opening two matches of doubles play with the 'Cats winning in position #1 behind Connor Kruger and Ken Minh, and Theo Mottier and Franco Quijano falling in position #3. With Tristan Sarap and William Zulch falling on Court #2 by a score of 6-4.
The Owls carried over the momentum to singles play winning all six singles matches with five wins in two sets. The only Wildcat that was able to force a third set was Tristan Sarap in position #1. He ultimately fell in the third set by a tiebreaking score of 12-10.
The 'Cats move to 6-5 on the season and lose for the first time since falling to San Diego State 5-2 on February 14th. They are right back in action in California on Friday, March 7th where they will take on Azusa Pacific in Azusa, California. The match will begin at 2:30 p.m. (M.T.).
