Wildcats Finish Seventh at Shark Invitational

GLEN HEAD, N.Y. – The Weber State men's golf team wrapped up the Shark Invitational with a seventh place finish after posting a three-round total of 874 at Brookville Country Club.
The Wildcats opened the tournament on Monday with rounds of 299 and 283 ahead of closing with a 292 on Tuesday.
Boston College ran away with the team title in the tournament, shooting a 5-under par 835 for a 16-shot margin over second place Seton Hall.
Weber State was led by Bobby Kincaid, who shot rounds of 72, 75 and 70 for a 7-over par total of 217 to tie for 21st place. Kincaid carded eight birdies and an eagle over the 54-hole event.
Ty Anderson tied for 28th place with a 9-over par 219. His tournament included six birdies and an eagle and was highlighted by a career-best 5-under par 65 in the second round.
Cormack Goecke shot a 12-over par total of 222 on rounds of 75, 73 and 74, while Matthew Wilson rebounded from rounds of 77 and 79 with a final round 69 en route to a 15-over par total of 225 to tie for 48th place.
Luke Smith tied for 66th place with a 20-over par total of 230, which was led by an even-par 70 in the second round.
Boston College was led by Ben Hong, who earned individual medalist honors with rounds of 69, 69 and 67 for a 5-under par total of 205.
