Wildcats Open Summit League Championships in Eighth Place

MESA, Ariz. – The Weber State men's golf team opened up the 2025 Summit League Championships on Sunday at Longbow Golf Club and shot a 16-over par 300 and are in eighth place through 18 holes.

South Dakota State took the lead in the team standings, shooting a 5-under par total of 279 and lead second place North Dakota State by eight shots. Oral Roberts are in third place, nine shots off the lead.

Weber State was led by Cormack Goecke, who shot a 3-over par 74 and is tied for 26th place. His round included a single birdie and he added an eagle on the par-5 15th hole.

Matthew Wilson and Bobby Kincaid each shot 75 and are tied for 30th place. Wilson carded five birdies on the day, while Kincaid recorded two.

Ty Anderson shot 76 and is tied for 34th after making two birdies on the day, and Luke Smith shot 77 and is tied for 42nd place.

South Dakota State's Tyler Seeling shot a bogey-free 6-under par 65 to take a five shot lead in the individual medalist race.

The tournament continues with the second round beginning on Monday morning.
