MESA, Ariz. – Matthew Wilson shot a 3-under par 68 on Monday to lead Weber State in the second round of the Summit League Men's Golf Championships at Longbow Golf Club. The Wildcats shot a 294 on the day, a six-shot improvement over the opening round, but the team slipped one spot to ninth in the standings.
South Dakota State held on to its opening round lead on Monday and hold a six-shot advantage over both North Dakota State and Oral Roberts heading into Tuesday's final round.
Wilson's 68 came as he carded three birdies and an eagle against a pair of bogeys. He sits at 1-over par 143 for the tournament after a 74 on Sunday, and is in a team-best tie for 13th place through 36 holes.
Cormack Goecke shot 75 on the day, while Bobby Kincaid shot 74. The pair are tied for 41st place with 7-over par totals of 149.
Ty Anderson shot a 77 on Monday and is in 47th place at 153, while Luke Smith shot a 79 and is in 51st place at 156.
