GAME NOTES: Wildcats face Montana in first round of Big Sky Tournament

The 2025 Big Sky Softball Championship will be held May 6-9 at Northern Colorado's softball field in Greeley, CO. All six Big Sky softball teams will advance to the double-elimination tournament, with the champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Softball Tournament.
The Big Sky regular season came to an end as the Idaho State Bengals clinched the regular season title with a 13-2 record.Weber State finished the Big Sky season 8-7 and as the No. 3 seed in the tournament.
Weber State will matchup with No. 6 Montana on May 6 at 1:30 p.m.
Tournament Central
Riley Whalen leads the Wildcats with a .382 batting average, totaling 58 hits and 28 runs. Abby Grundy has an average of .376 and leads the team with 16 doubles. Grundy has totaled 28 RBI this season so far. Whalen is second in the conference in batting average and second in hits. Grundy leads the Big Sky in doubles and Taegan Smith leads the conference in triples with four.
Cali McCraw (9-5) leads the team in pitching with an ERA of 3.13. She is ranked fourth in the Big Sky in earned run average and has totaled 41 strikeouts this season.
