Weber State Set to Host Boise State in Home Opener

Wildcats return home following a shutout performance against Utah
OGDEN, Utah — Weber State soccer returns home Sunday night for its 2026 home opener as the Wildcats host Boise State at Wildcat Soccer Field.
The Wildcats opened the season Wednesday with a 0-0 draw against Utah in Salt Lake City. Weber State held the Utes scoreless for all 90 minutes behind a strong defensive effort and seven saves from sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Butorac.
Butorac turned away all seven of Utah's shots on goal, including two saves in the opening minutes and four saves during the final 10 minutes of the match to preserve the shutout. The performance marked a strong start to the season for the sophomore goalkeeper.
Offensively, Weber State recorded four shots, with Lily Blum leading the Wildcats with two. Oakley Anderson and Simone Packer also recorded shots for Weber State, while Blum and Anderson each put a shot on frame.
The Wildcats will now look to build on their defensive performance as they return to Ogden for the first of 10 regular-season home matches this season.
