Wildcats Fall to Boise State in Home Opener

Schlosser scores her first goal of the season
OGDEN, Utah – Weber State soccer fell 4-1 to Boise State Sunday night at Wildcat Soccer Field in the Wildcats' 2026 home opener.
The Wildcats battled throughout the match, finishing with nine shots compared to Boise State's 14. Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Butorac recorded eight saves for Weber State, while Sayler Schlosser led the Wildcats offensively with four shots, including three on goal.
Boise State opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Jillian Anderson found the back of the net on an unassisted goal.
Weber State answered in the 31st minute when Schlosser scored to level the match at 1-1. Oakley Anderson was credited with the assist on the goal.
The Broncos regained the lead shortly before halftime, sending Boise State into the break with a 2-1 advantage.
Boise State added two goals in the second half to extend its lead, scoring in the 47th minute and again in the 81st minute.
Weber State recorded four shots in the first half and five in the second. The Wildcats put five shots on frame, with Schlosser accounting for three of those attempts.
Oakley Anderson finished with two shots, while Simone Packer, Lily Blum and Kaitlin Dean each recorded one shot.
The Wildcats will now look to bounce back as they continue the 2026 season. The 'Cats are headed to Laramie, Wyoming this Thursday.
