OUTLOOK: Whitney moved to the forward position in 2007 for Weber State after spending 2004 and 2005 as a defender for Boise State... Should be a consistent starter on the Wildcat forward line.
As a Junior in 2007: Played in all 18 matches for the Wildcats, starting 12 times... Posted a collegiate career-high four points on a pair of goals... The two goals were the first of her career... Scored her first goal three games into the season in a 2-1 win over UTEP on Sep. 9... Also scored in a 4-3 loss to Utah State on Sep. 12... Also recorded career-highs in shots (24) and shots on-goal (11).
As a Junior in 2006: Sat out the season as a red-shirt.
As a Sophomore in 2005 (Boise State University): Played in all 20 games for the Broncos and started 10 times... Scored two points on a pair of assists from her defender position... Her assist total tied for fourth on the team... First career point, and assist, came on Sep. 21 in a 2-1 win over Idaho State... Both of her assists came against in-state rivals as she also recorded an assist in a 1-0 win over Idaho on Oct. 23... Helped Boise State to a 1.25 Goals Against Average for the season.
As a Freshman in 2004 (Boise State University): Played in 17 games as defender with four starts...played role in the team’s best defensive performance for a season in program history setting numerous schools records...first action as a Bronco was in a starting role for season opener versus Utah State on Aug. 27... saw quality minutes in back-up role to two senior All-WAC performers.
During her Prep career: Whitney is a 2004 graduate of Ogden High School in Ogden, Utah... Was a four year letterwinner and starter on the Tigers’ varsity team... Played primarily at forward but saw time as a defender her junior year... Scored 159 career points on 52 goals with 55 assists at OHS... Recorded career-highs of 50 points, 16 goals and 18 assists during her sophomore season in 2001... Her senior year, she posted 47 points in 15 goals and 17 assists...Led the Tigers to a 76-18-0 record during her four years and to a pair of Region titles (2002, 2003)... Helped her team advance to the 3A State tournament three times... During her OHS career, the Tigers were State Champions in 2001, semi-finalists in 2000, and runner-ups in 2003... Was a four-time First Team All-Area, All-Region and All-State selection... Voted Courageous player as freshman and sophomore... Was named Team MVP her junior and senior seasons and was the team captain her senior year... Played her youth club soccer for Inter FC and Lightning FC of Ogden...
