As a Freshman in 2008: Sat out the season as a red-shirt after spending the previous two years serving an LDS Church mission to Brazil.

High School: Was a 2005 graduate of Clearfield High School... Played under Coach Randy Johnson... Had 58 tackles his senior season and snagged five interceptions returning one for a touchdown... Had 24 catches for 436 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver... Earned Second Team all-state honors and was named the team MVP for the 2004 season.

Personal: Full name is Blake Stromberg Sims... Is majoring in General Studies... Is the grandson of Bill and Bernice Stromberg after whom the athletic strength and training building along with the Weber State University Physical Education Building complex, is named.
